The Cosby Sweater Project

2011-05-19
When I heard that someone was painting an article of clothing from each episode of the Cosby Show, I crossed my fingers and searched the archive for this.

The proprietor of the project claims it's "the most important piece of clothing ever worn on the Cosby Show" but I would argue that it's perhaps the most important article of clothing ever worn on American Television.

In our family, the show's ascendancy coincided with our ownership of a VCR, and to this day I find old tapes labeled "Cosby #14" or similar in my parents' basement.  I think we had the entire series recorded using the higher-quality SP setting of our Panasonic VCR.
